Or, in Japanese, “Tamashii no Hibiki”, is the name of the shamisen album, and it’s great!
Of course I’m not just saying that because I’m on it. I prefer the tunes without me, just because they were the smaller ensembles. Though here’s Tsugaru Tanto Bushi with me and 10 other shamisen players, two shakuhachi players, a taiko player, and a singer.
Absolutely fantastic!! I am amazed at the richness and vitality of this piece!! My son commented that it could be the soundtrack for a Japanese “Cirque du Soleil”
