More Information

  1. Dear Dr. Hutchinson,

Congratulations on the performance of your composition Hiraizumi by the Yale University Band this evening under the direction of Thomas Duffy.

I have taken the liberty of documenting this performance on the Wind Repertory Project (WRP):

In order to provide as much detail as possible about your work to interested readers on the WRP, could you tell me whether your work is published, or where it might be acquired and at what price? Also, I’d be grateful if you could indicate where I might find the work’s instrumentation and any additional program notes.

Finally, if you’d peruse your biographical sketch, I’ll be glad to make any additions or corrections you have. In particular, it is usual on wikis to list the composer’s place of birth, if you’d be willing to share that information.

As you may know, the Wind Repertory Project, a comprehensive and growing database of wind literature, is intended as an online resource for wind band conductors, enthusiasts and students. There is no charge for inclusion, although voluntary financial contributions are always welcome. Please be assured that this message is completely aboveboard and in no sense a phishing expedition.

Thanks very much for your help, and best wishes for continued compositional success.
